Water Vs Cup

A group of working adults got together to visit their University lecturer.

The lecturer was happy to see them. Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life. The Lecturer just smiled and went to the kitchen to get an assortment of cups - some porcelain, some in plastic, some in glass, some plain looking and some looked rather expensive and exquisite.

The Lecturer offered his former students the cups to get drinks for themselves.

When all the students had a cup in hand with water, the lecturer spoke: "If you noticed, all the nice looking, expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is normal that you only want the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress. What all you wanted was water, not the cup, but we unconsciously went for the better cups." "Just like in life, if Happiness is Water, then the jobs, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold/maintain Happiness in Life."

"If we only concentrate on the cups, we won't have time to enjoy/taste the water in it."

Sometimes...

Sometimes...
a lot of opportunity came in our life.
We need to choose either grab it or drop it.

Sometimes...
the opportunity just came once.
Sometimes...
it may change our life.
Sometimes...
it doesn't change anything.
Sometimes...
we can't decide what the right decision to be made.

Sometimes...
we need help to make decision.

Sometimes...
nobody can help us.
Sometimes...when we lose it, we'll regret.
Sometimes...when we grab it, we had a joy.
Sometimes...we just waiting it to be true.
Sometimes...it came when we need it.
Sometimes...it never come although we wish for it.

So, when it come, choose the right decision and grab it as you wish for...

The story of 3 friends

Not long ago, three friends came to the New York city. They decided to stay in a hotel during the visit.

It so happened that their room ended up being on the 60th floor.

The policy of the hotel was that everynight after 12:00 a.m. the elevators are shut down for security reasons. The next day, the three friends rented a car and went out to explore the city. They enjoyed movies, concerts, and other things throughout the whole day. At one point, they remembered that they have to get back to the hotel before 12 a.m.

When they arrived, it was beyond 12 a.m. at night. The elevators were shut down. There was no other way to get back to their room but to take the stairs all the way to the 60th floor. All of a sudden, one friend got an idea.

He said “For the first 20 floors, I will tell jokes to keep us going. Then another one of us could say wisdom stories for the next 20 floors. Finally, we will cover the other 20 floors with sad stories.”

So, one of the friends started with the jokes. With laughs and joy, they reached the 20th floor. Now, another friend started saying stories that are full of wisdom. So, they learned a lot while reaching the 40th floor. Now, it was time for the sad stories.

So, the third friend started thus, “My first sad story is that I left the key for the room in the car.”

Now, what is the point of this story?

This story resembles our lifecycle. For the first 20 years of our life, we spend time in joking and enjoying whatever is out there. Then, after we reach 20, we go into the work force, get married, have kids and this is the time when we use our wisdom. Then, if we reach 40, we finally see the white hairs and begin to think that my life is coming to an end and the sadness begins.

It’s better that we start our life in the very beginning by remembering death rather than preparing for it at the end our life when very few of us have the energy to obey Allah completely. We should also remember that there is no guarantee of a life of 60 years for any of us, many have already left this world way before that age.

May Allah give us the ability to make use of our life before death and our youth before old age, Amin.

Reasons to Smile

1. Smiling makes us attractive

We are drawn to people who smile. There is an attraction factor. We want to know a smiling person and figure out what is so good. Frowns, scowls and grimaces all push people away ,but a smile draws them in.

2.Smiling changes our mood

Next time you are feeling down, try putting on a smile. There's a good chance you mood will change for the better. Smiling can trick the body into helping you change your mood.

3. Smiling is Contagious

When someone is smiling they lighten up the room, change the moods of others, and make things happier. A smiling person brings happiness with them. Smile lots and you will draw people to you.

4. Smiling Relieves Stress

Stress can really show up in our faces. Smiling helps to prevent us from looking tired, worn down, and overwhelmed. When you are stressed, take time to put on a smile. The stress should be reduced and you'll be better able to take action.

5. Smiling Boosts Your Immune System

Smiling helps the immune system to work better. When you smile, immune function improves possibly because you are more relaxed. revent the flu and colds by smiling.

6. Smiling Lowers Your Blood Pressure

When you smile, there is a measurable reduction in your blood pressure. Give it a try if you have a blood pressure monitor at home.
Sit for a few minutes, take a reading. Then smile for a minute and take another reading while still smiling. Do you notice a difference?

7. Smiling Releases Endorphins, Natural Pain Killers and Serotonin

Studies have shown that smiling releases endorphins, natural pain killers, and serotonin. Together these three make us feel good. Smiling is a natural drug.

8. Smiling Lifts the Face and Makes You Look Younger

The muscles we use to smile lift the face, making a person appear younger. Don't go for a face lift, just try smiling your way through the day!you'll look younger and feel better.

9. Smiling Makes You Seem Successful

Smiling people appear more confident, are more likely to be promoted, and more likely to be approached. Put on a smile at meetings and appointments and people will react to you differently.

10. Smiling Helps You Stay Positive

Try this test: Smile. Now try to think of something negative without losing the smile. It's hard. When we smile our body is sending the rest of us a message that "Life is Good!" Stay away from depression, stress and worry by smiling.

Be Inspired!

This is a story that I received from a friend. A very short yet inspiring story. Allah's Hidayah is always there, around us. It comes in all sorts of forms. It's either we are aware of it or we simply take advantage on it.

xxxxx

The park bench was deserted as I sat down to read beneath the long, straggly branches of an old willow tree. Disillusioned by life with good reason to frown, for the world was intent on dragging me down.

And if that weren’t enough to ruin my day, a young boy out of breath approached me, all tired from play.

He stood right before me with his head tilted down and said with great excitement, “Look what I found!”

In his hand was a flower, and what a pitiful sight, with it’s petals all worn, not enough rain, or too little light. Wanting him to take his dead flower and go off to play, I faked a small smile and then shifted away. But instead of retreating he sat next to my side and placed the flower to his nose and declared with overacted surprise, “It sure smells pretty and it’s beautiful, too. That’s why I picked it; here it’s for you.”

The weed before me was dying or dead. Not vibrant of colors, orange, yellow or red. But I knew I must take it, or he might never leave. So I reached for the flower, and replied, “Just what I need.” But instead of him placing the flower in my hand, he held it mid-air without reason or plan. It was then that I noticed for the very first time that weed-toting boy could not see: he was blind.

I heard my voice quiver, tears shone like the sun as I thanked him for picking the very best one. You’re welcome, he smiled, and then ran off to play, unaware of the impact he’d had on my day. I sat there and wondered how he managed to see a self-pitying woman beneath an old willow tree. How did he know of my self-indulged plight?

Perhaps from his heart, he’d been blessed with true sight. Through the eyes of a blind child, at last I could see the problem was not with the world; the problem was me. And for all of those times I myself had been blind, I vowed to see the beauty in life, and appreciate every second that’s mine. And then I held that wilted flower up to my nose and breathed in the fragrance of a beautiful rose. And smiled as I watched that young boy, another weed in his hand about to change the life of an unsuspecting old man.

kenapa suatu hari nanti..kita perlu balik kerja awal...

sekarang ni kita xkje lg kn..
so cerita ni xlah penting sgt..
tp stu hari nanti kita akan kerja gak kan
dan akan mengalami perkara yg lebih kurang sama...

Baca pelan- pelan dan penuh penghayatan.

Aku terlanggar seorang asing semasa berjalan,
"Oh maafkan saya, saya tak perasan"

Katanya "Maafkan saya juga,
Saya tak nampak saudara"

Kami amat bersopan dan saling menghormati,
Kami saling melambai sambil berlalu pergi,

Terdengar suara halus datang membisik,

"Bila bersama orang tak dikenali,
Begitu bersopan dan merendah diri,
Tetapi ahli keluarga tersayang, sering dimarah dan dicaci",

"Cubalah kau pergi lihat di lantai dapur,
Kan kau temui bunga-bungaan berterabur",

"Itu adalah bunga-bunga dibawanya untuk kamu,
Dia memetiknya sendiri, kuning, biru dan unggu",

"Dia berdiri senyap agar jadi kejutan buat kamu,

"Adik memetiknya kerana ia cantik seperti ibu,
ibu tentu suka terutama yang unggu,

"Maafkan ibu, atas sikap ibu hari ini,
Ibu tak harus menjerkah kamu, sebegini,

Katanya,"Oh, ibu, itu tak mengapa,
Saya tetap sayang ibu melebihi segala,

Bisikku, "Anakku, ibu pun sayang kamu,

Bukankah begitu?

Jadi apakah maksud yang tersirat?

Tahukah anda makna "FAMILY"?
FAMILY = (F)ATHER (A)ND (M)OTHER (I) (L)OVE (Y)OU

" HARGAILAH KELUARGA ANDA "

UNTUKMU WANITA

Baju nipis nampak bayang
Peha gebu saja ditayang
Lebih baik tak pakai baju senang
Dah tentu boleh tunjuk terang-terang
Baju ketat seluar sendat
Pakai tudung just ikat-ikat
Dari mula memang bukan adat

Disudut agama pun gaya tak berkat

Tudung jarang baju nipis
Pakai sikit boleh nampak ‘garis’
Mata orang terbeliak, kita membengis
Bila kena kutuk, kenapa menangis
Lengan pendek blaus gantung
Jeans ketat melekat dipunggung
Jadi orang Islam ni sebenarnya beruntung
Agama tak suruh berbungkus macam pocong
Apa rasanya, kepala bertudung, kain terbelah
Kalau takat rambut orang kurang ghairah
Lain kalau peha gebu atau ternampak lurah
Mata yang memandang boleh keluar darah

Kebaya ketat, kain terbelah
Ikat tudung macam tak sudah
Nak ikut suruhan agama memang tak mudah
Tapi Islam sebenarnya indah
Tutup aurat bukan suruh berselubung
Sampai tak nampak muka dan hidung
Yang faham tuntutan amat beruntung
Taklah bersungut mulut pun muncung
Dah kalau mula minat nak bertudung
Cubalah sesuaikan apa yang disarung
Kalau masih rasa jiwa tu ‘mendung’
Maknanya nafsu tu belum dapat dibendung
Bertudung itu bukan satu paksaan
Ia adalah kewajipan dgn keinsafan
Selalunya nafsu masih dikuasai syaitan
Itu la pasal fesyen pun yang bukan-bukan
Asal menutup aurat itu tuntutan
Kalau dianggap susah, tu sebab bosan
Yang punya hati tak berkenan
Tu yang berjela-jela mencipta alasan
Menutup aurat satu syariat
Kepada agama kita taat
Hidup berkat pahala berlipat-lipat
Didunia selamat, di akhirat hebat

PERTANYAAN UNTUK CINTA

“Adakah tapak tanganmu berkeringat, hatimu
berdebar kencang dan suaramu tersekat di dadamu?
Itu bukan Cinta, itu SUKA.

Adakah kamu tidak dapat melepaskan pandangan
mata darinya?
Itu bukan Cinta, itu NAFSU.

Adakah kamu menginginkannya kerana kamu tahu
ia ada di sana?
Itu bukan Cinta, itu KESEPIAN.

Adakah kamu mencintainya kerana itulah yang
diinginkan semua orang?
Itu bukan Cinta, itu KESETIAAN.

Adakah kamu tetap mengatakan kamu
menyintainya kerana kamu tidak ingin melukai
hatinya?
Itu bukan Cinta, itu BELAS KASIHAN.

Adakah kamu menjadi miliknya kerana pandangan
matanya membuat hatimu melompat?
Itu bukan Cinta, itu TERGILA-GILA.

Adakah kamu memaafkan kesalahannya kerana
kamu mengambil berat tentangnya?
Itu bukan Cinta, itu PERSAHABATAN.

Adakah kamu mengatakan padanya bahawa setiap
hari hanya dia yang kamu fikirkan?
Itu bukan Cinta, itu DUSTA.

Adakah kamu rela memberikan semua perkara
yang kamu senangi untuk kepentingan dirinya?
Itu bukan Cinta, itu KEMURAHAN HATI.

Tetapi

Adakah kamu tetap bertahan kerana campuran
antara kesakitan dan kegembiraan yang
membutakan dan tak terfahami … menarikmu
mendekati dan tetap bersamanya?
ITULAH CINTA.

Apakah kamu menerima kesalahannya kerna itu
bahagian dirinya dan siapa dirinya?
Jika demikian, ITULAH CINTA.

Adakah kamu tertarik dengan orang lain tapi setia
dengannya tanpa penyesalan?
Jika demikian, ITULAH CINTA.

Adakah kamu menangis kerana kesakitannya
walaupun saat itu dia kuat?
ITULAH CINTA.

Adakah hatimu sakit dan hancur ketika dia
bersedih?
ITULAH CINTA.

Adakah hatimu gembira ketika dia berbahagia?
ITULAH CINTA.

Adakah matanya melihat hatimu dan menyentuh
jiwamu begitu mendalam sehingga menusuk?
Yang demikian itulah namanya CINTA.
